Comparison Guide
Judge.me vs Yotpo for Shopify Reviews
Judge.me charges a flat $15/month with unlimited free reviews. Yotpo prices by order volume and starts at $89. Where the cost lands for a small store.
Quick verdict
For a small store, Judge.me, and the margin is large. A flat $15/month that never rises against a plan that starts at $89/month once you pass 50 orders a month is not a close comparison. Yotpo wins if you want reviews, loyalty and SMS from one vendor and expect to scale, because that breadth is something Judge.me does not offer. But if you sell on a platform other than Shopify, Judge.me is not an option at all.

Judge.me vs Yotpo: quick comparison
These two review apps are priced on completely different principles, and that difference matters more than any feature list. Judge.me charges a flat $15 per month and describes that as the most you can ever pay, with a free plan that includes unlimited reviews. Yotpo prices by monthly order volume: its free plan covers up to 50 orders a month, and the next published tier is Starter at $89 per month. So the question is not which has more features, it is whether your order volume will stay low enough for a flat price to win.
| Feature | Judge.me | Yotpo |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | Unlimited reviews | Reviews up to 50 orders/month |
| Cheapest paid plan | $15/mo flat | $89/mo for up to 500 orders |
| How pricing scales | It does not — flat price at any order volume | Rises with monthly order volume |
| Platform support | Shopify only | Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce, Volusion, Salesforce Commerce Cloud |
| Other products | Reviews only | Reviews, loyalty, referrals, SMS, AI visibility |
| Quote-only tiers | None | Premium, Enterprise and Discover |
| How you install it | Shopify App Store, requires a Shopify store | Signup form, then connect your platform |
How to decide between Judge.me and Yotpo
The better choice depends on your store size, selling platform, budget, workflow, and the specific problem you need to solve. Use the criteria below before committing to a paid plan.
Choose by workflow fit
Pick the tool that better matches your current store workflow, not just the one with the longest feature list.
Check pricing as you grow
Entry pricing can look similar, but costs may change as your store grows, your list expands, or you need advanced features.
Review switching costs
Before committing, consider setup time, integrations, data migration, cancellation terms, and how easy it is to move later.
The pricing models are the whole comparison
Judge.me's pricing page states that $15 per month is the most you can ever pay, and there are only two plans: a free one with unlimited reviews, and the paid one. Yotpo prices each product by monthly order volume, so the bill moves as the store grows. Yotpo's own FAQ states that Reviews and UGC has a limited free plan for up to 50 monthly orders and paid plans starting at $15/month, while its pricing page shows Starter at $89/month and Pro at $169/month for up to 500 orders. Those two figures are not contradictory so much as unhelpful: the $15 entry applies at low order volumes and the published tiers apply higher up. What a small store needs to know is the shape of the curve, and Yotpo's curve rises while Judge.me's does not.
What a small store actually pays
Under 50 orders a month, both are free. Between 50 and 500 orders a month, Yotpo's next published step is $89/month while Judge.me is $15/month, so the gap is $74 a month or about $888 a year. That is the number to compare against whatever extra Yotpo's loyalty and SMS products would earn you. For most stores doing a few hundred orders a month, that extra spend is hard to justify on reviews alone.
The catch with Judge.me: it is Shopify only
Judge.me has sunset its apps on every non-Shopify platform. Its help centre states that it has been sunset on all non-Shopify platforms, with WooCommerce, Square and Squarespace ending 31 October 2025, Duda on 31 December 2025, BigCommerce on 12 January 2026 and PrestaShop on 31 January 2026, after which access to the app and its data was permanently removed. Its free plan is also installed from the Shopify App Store rather than a standalone signup form, and the install step asks for your store address. So if you sell anywhere other than Shopify, this comparison does not apply to you and Yotpo is the one that still supports your platform.
Where Yotpo is the better answer
Breadth. Yotpo sells reviews alongside loyalty, referrals, SMS and AI visibility, and its help centre lists Shopify, Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Volusion, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and custom integrations as supported platforms. If you want one vendor for retention rather than a review widget, and you expect to scale, that consolidation is worth paying for. Yotpo's free reviews plan also requires no card: its signup form asks only for name, email and password.
Final recommendation
For a Shopify store doing under a few hundred orders a month, Judge.me at a flat $15/month is the better buy, and its free plan with unlimited reviews means you may not pay anything at all. Yotpo makes sense when you want reviews, loyalty and SMS from one vendor and are willing to pay order-volume pricing for it. If you are not on Shopify, Judge.me has been sunset and Yotpo is the only one of the two that is still an option.

Frequently asked questions
Is Judge.me cheaper than Yotpo?
For small stores, yes, and by a wide margin. Judge.me charges a flat $15/month with no order-volume scaling, while Yotpo's free plan stops at 50 orders a month and the next published tier is $89/month for up to 500 orders.
Does Yotpo have a free plan?
